Anna McClain Howell is a devoted educator, mother, and storyteller whose life has been deeply shaped by her love for children and learning. A graduate of Coppin State University in Baltimore, Maryland, with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education, Anna has spent many years inspiring young minds, tutoring students from daycare to college, and helping them discover the joy of reading and imagination.

As the fourth-oldest of fifteen children and the proud mother of eight, and grandmother of eighteen, Anna draws much of her inspiration from her large, lively family. Her stories reflect her belief in faith, family, and fun, values that shine through every page she writes.

When she’s not writing or teaching, Anna enjoys spending time with her husband in Baltimore, exploring new ways to combine laughter and learning for children everywhere. “My Crazy Mixed-Up Day On Johannsen’s Farm” is a celebration of that same joyful spirit, a reminder that even our “mixed-up” days can turn into unforgettable adventures.
